The Helena Business Association will hold its next monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. These are exciting times in the HBA as this meeting will be hosted by our new president, Alan Farmer, and will take place in our new venue, the Helena Community Center on Ruffin Road (aka the Sports Complex). Highlights of this meeting will include the introduction of our new officers, a presentation by Dan Dearing of the Helena Library, and a discussion of the way forward by Mr. Farmer, to include some new initiatives that we believe you will find to be of great value to the local business community. The specific agenda is as follows:
- Opening Remarks and Introduction of New Officers - Alan Farmer
- General Introductions - Attendees
- Financial Update - Deidree Jones (tentative, based on her availability)
- Movies in the Park Update - David Schlueter (tentative, based on his availability)
- Library Initiative - Dan Dearing
- The Year Ahead - Alan Farmer
The Helena Community Center/Sports Complex is just north of Old Town off Hwy. 261. From Old Town, cross the two sets of railroad tracks and take the first left after the second set of tracks. Our meeting room is on the second floor at the far left as you exit the stairway or elevator. Coffee and breakfast pastries will be provided by Community Coffee and Publix, respectively. The meeting will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. so please be on time. The formal meeting will adjourn at 9:00 a.m. but attendees are invited (and encouraged) to stay and network with their fellow members and guests. All Helena business owners and managers are invited to attend. Membership is not required but we hope that first-time attendees will join the HBA and return to meet with us every month.
